Relay for Life

Held in the spring semester at the Bancroft Stadium, this is a nationwide fundraising event. In 2004, UC Berkeley was the first college to ever put on the event and raised over $30,000 for the American Cancer Society. Participants walk, run, or jog as individuals or in groups at this overnight event in order to spread awareness of cancer prevention, treatments, cures, celebrate survivorship and raise money for cancer research. As a group, the participants take turns making laps around the track for 24 hours. Each team must try their best to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. It is a great opportunity to help out and show your support! Indus will be having their own team and we will have sign ups as the year progresses.
